About Our Opportunity

 

As a member of the Nova Scotia SAP Service Management Team, the Senior Business Analyst partners with; government departments, agencies, boards and commissions, the health and education sectors as well as municipalities, universities and crown corporations in the effective delivery of SAP/ERP services to meet short-term and long-term business needs. This role, champions all lines of business and their cross-integration, including but not limited to; Finance, Materials Management, Human Resources, Payroll, CRM, Recruitment, Industrial Utilities and Employee Health and Safety. The role has a heavy focus on facilitating ticket management through client and vendor meetings and interactions.

 

You elicit business and system requirements, using; interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, business use cases and scenarios, process and data analysis, task and workflow analysis. From this information, you will critically evaluate information gathered from all sources, map complex processes and reconcile conflicts to decompose high-level information into details.

 

The Senior Business Analyst engages with external managed service and professional services providers  to ensure effective delivery of SAP/ERP services including; problem tracking, enhancements/upgrades projects, reporting, software issue resolution, development of operational support models for new functionality and works on continuous improvement initiatives to streamline SAP/ERP support processes and create efficiencies.  The Senior Business Analyst conducts research and analysis on solutions cross-jurisdictionally as well as inter-governmentally to ensure the best value generating options are presented to stakeholders.

What You Bring to the Table

 

To be successful in this role you have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or Public Administration with a minimum of 6 years related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

 

The ideal candidate must have the following skills and working experience:

 

  • strong analytical skills demonstrated through past work experience;
  • experience producing business requirements and other relevant material (i.e. process and data mapping, business cases and options analysis);
  • demonstrated facilitation skills;
  • experience working with both business and technical audiences;
  • strong verbal and written communication skills; 
  • experience working with a diverse group of stakeholders including, executives, managers, business subject matter experts and service providers; 
  • strong organizational skills that facilitate managing multiple initiatives simultaneously; 
  • experience utilizing tools and methodologies required to successfully engage disparate business processes and lead to a common process. 

 

SAP Module Certification, experience working in a SAP/ERP support organization , Experience in Microsoft Power Automate ,Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) V3 Certification, Project Management Certification, or a Business Analysis Certificate would be considered assets.

Pay Grade:  PR 17  

Salary Range:  $3,091.70 - $3,631.17 Bi-Weekly
