About Our Opportunity

The NSDS Service Design & Delivery group is currently seeking a Senior Software Developer (Computer Services Officer 3) to join a case management product support team. You will be supported by the Manager, Business Solutions for Case Management (ICM).

 

You will be part of a dedicated high-performing team that supports a diverse group of services across multiple departments, whose staff utilize the Integrated Case Management (ICM) suite of products to deliver case management and financial management.

As the Senior Software Developer, you play a leading role to ensure that new and existing business applications meet the need of our clients, ensuring they are developed and maintained using standards, methodology and best practices being introduced under the digital internet-era strategy. You will also be responsible to help design, formulate and incorporate these new practices within the team to facilitate the move towards digital service design way of working.

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have graduated from a recognized university with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, plus a minimum of three (3) years related experience, or graduation from a recognized Information Technology Diploma program plus three and a half (3.5) years’ experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

 

This would be a great fit for someone who has the following training, skills, or work experience:

 

  • Business system analysis and design, IT principles including hardware and software architecture, networking and communications, database design, information security, change management and configuration management.
  • Understanding user needs and designing services that meet them.
  • Designing user-centered interfaces and transaction flows.
  • Continuously improving code in response to known defects and emerging user needs.
  • You must demonstrate a high degree of logical problem-solving ability with well-developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills as well have proven ability to interact effectively with clients, staff, peers, and management.
  • Flexible and adaptable to ever changing priorities and new technology.
  • Proficiency in developing application which access Oracle databases, preferably later versions such as Oracle 11 or 12G and PL/SQL
  • Knowledge & experience in developing n-Tier web business applications using Microsoft web technologies including ASP.NET Core, SQL, and C# .NET., Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft Team Foundation Server and/or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience in the following technologies would be considered an asset: SharePoint, Azure DevOps, SQL Server Reporting Services, Razor Pages, Vue and XML
  • Developing solutions using Microsoft technologies using Microsoft & Oracle development tools.

Pay Grade:  PR 14  

Salary Range:  $2,488.52 - $3,030.25 Bi-Weekly
