About Our Opportunity

As the Program Administration Officer 3, you will be responsible for providing advice and assistance on financial matters relating to the various program areas within the Financial Services Unit and external agencies funded by the client department.

You will assist with the development of policies and procedures, with respect to financial accountability measures and accounting policies, in consultation with client department staff, external agencies, and healthcare administrators.   You will assist with monitoring forecast to budget and making recommendations within the accountability framework when forecast variances occur.

You may have day-to-day contact on financial matters that support program delivery regarding financial accountability between Financial Advisory Services and other branches of the client department and externally funded agencies.  In this role, you will work directly with the Program Administration Officer 4 (PAO 4), as well as the Director of Finance, and departmental staff, as required.

As the Program Administration Officer 3, you will report to the Director of Finance.

About You

While not required, it is considered an asset if you have an accounting designation (CPA), or are currently enrolled in a recognized accounting program which will result in a CPA designation.

We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.
