About Our Opportunity
As the IT Asset Management & Procurement Analyst, you will be responsible for the delivery of procurement and financial services to clients in the Government and Nova Scotia Health/ IWK. You will be reporting to the Manager, IT Assets, Finance and Procurement Management.
Primary Accountabilities
- Financial management activities including journal vouchers, year end processing, cost recoveries, billing, and payments, reconciling vendors and client statements of values over a million dollars with efficient and accurate delivery.
- Work with operational level agreements, Ministerial Approvals and complex purchase orders of IT hardware and software.
- Coordinate as necessary with external suppliers to ensure smooth financial operation of our services.
- Ensure data integrity throughout our Inventory Management and Procurement process.
- Provide services and support to clients in the areas of software license management, asset management, procurement, and financial management.
- Provide mentorship to junior staff, as required.
- Perform system administration functions including monitoring of software jobs and tools for automated processes while problem solving and troubleshoot discrepancies
- Assist with building a culture of continuous service delivery and improvement, ensuring that key processes are regularly analyzed, maintained, and improved.
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this opportunity, you hold:
- A Bachelors Degree in Information Technology + 3 years related experience; or graduation from a recognized Information Technology Program + 3 years and 6 months related experience.
An equivalent combination of training and experience may be acceptable
In addition, you have:
- Demonstrated experience working with vendors in the IT industry
- Demonstrated experience working with the health care industry
- Proven experience working with IT hardware and software and knowledge of standards used in the Government and Health Industry
- Demonstrated experience with financial reconciliation, billing, and payments of values over $1,000,000.
- Knowledge of software such as FileNet, Assyst, Adobe, Excel, SAP, S/4 Hana
- Experience with project management and delivery of service to IT projects
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, recommend, and implement solutions

- You have strategic leadership experience, a track record of delivery, digital awareness, and data driven- approach to interpreting financial data.
- A clear, articulate communicator, with strong collaboration and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work in high pressure and fast paced environment with the ability to multi -task and meet strict deadlines
- Work independently and as a team member, coaching and mentoring team members and clients.
- Work with senior leadership and executives on service excellence requests.
- An excellent relationship builder within, and beyond, government.

- Promote and maintain a professional and positive attitude between the different teams and during times of pressure.

Pay Grade: PR 14
Salary Range: $2,653.85 - $3,231.58 Bi-Weekly
