About Our Opportunity
In this role of Application Developer/Analyst, you will plan, coordinate, and execute all activities related to the development, testing, implementation, and on-going support of technology applications to departmental program/business units enabling them to find practical solutions to address fundamental business problems.
Primary Accountabilities
As the successful candidate, you will work closely with the team lead and manager to address issues, as well as work independently when required. As the Application Developer/Analyst, you will also:
- Provide technical support to business system users through consultation, troubleshooting, problem identification, and options analysis and resolve technical issues reported;
- Provide application system administration, including managing user access, executing data fixes, and configuring system settings;
- Analyze, clarify and transfer business requirements into technical requirements and implement enhancements to meet evolving business needs;
- Participate and assist in application solutions design to meet the client requirements based on the government technology, security & architecture standards;
- Develop, document and implement system changes assigned, based on internal standards and design guidelines;
- Create system/integration test plans, conduct system tests, and address defects identified as assigned; and,
- Provide support in application deployment and configuration management.
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or graduation from a recognized Information Technology program, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
You will have experience in developing, maintaining, and supporting custom-built and/or COTS applications. You will possess a demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable to ever-changing priorities and new technologies. You will have a high degree of logical problem-solving ability with well-developed oral and written communication skills. You will have good organizational and planning skills for handling multiple tasks to ensure timely responses to requests.
Knowledge and experience in the following technologies is also required: SQL Server and/or Oracle and ASP.NET.
Knowledge of any of the following would be a definite asset: Visual Studio, Oracle Apex and Gitlab.

Pay Grade: PR 01 - PR 11
Salary Range: $1,587.24 - $2,867.11 Bi-Weekly
