About Our Opportunity


The Records Centre provides services for the management of semi-active records for all departments, boards, agencies and commissions of government.  As the Records Centre Clerk, you undertake a variety of duties related to the daily operation of the Records Centre facility in Halifax. 


Your responsibilities will include: advisory services, records storage, security, reference and retrieval, disposition and general administrative duties.


About You


To be successful in this role, you will have three years related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.


You will also possess the following knowledge, training and work experience:


  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • General knowledge of records management, including filing systems and records control systems
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships;
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision in a team environment.


Work experience in a records centre or central files is considered an asset.


We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.



Pay Grade:  CL 13  


Salary Range:  $1,346.01 - $1,465.12 Bi-Weekly


This is a bargaining unit position initially restricted to current civil service employees represented by the Nova Scotia Government Employees Union (NSGEU).
