About Our Opportunity


The Digital Team is looking for an Executive Assistant to work alongside our Executive Director and our leadership team. Do you have an affinity for logistics and planning? Are you the type of person who dives in when it comes to taking on new tasks and projects? Do you thrive at handling multiple demands in a rapidly changing environment? Are you collaborative, flexible, a team player,  and great to work with?  Can you focus on what  is important when it comes to a busy schedule, inbox and competing priorities?


In this role, you will:


  • Provide strategic administrative and project management;
  • Manage calendars, travel planning for internal and external meetings;
  • Plan and execute team events, meetings, off-sites, and other special functions;
  • Oversee the corporate operations of the division, including responsibilities such as financial management, procurement related activities, and corporate requests, etc.;
  • Track, organize and prioritize various internal documents from staff;
  • Draft and manage correspondence and communications on behalf of an executive;
  • Act as a liaison both internally and externally, maintaining a sense of professionalism and collaboration at all times.


About You


As the ideal candidate, you have completed a one-year business course, and you possess a minimum of 4 years of related experience – or equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. In addition, you are:


  • Responsive to the ever-changing needs of a fast-growing technology team;
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products including Outlook;
  • Knowledgeable of position related technology;
  • Interested in learning new tools;
  • A positive individual with a “can-do” mindset;
  • A bureaucracy “hacker” who finds ways to get things done;
  • Effective at prioritizing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment;
  • Trustworthy and treat information with confidentiality;
  • Tactful and diplomatic when dealing with sensitive situations.


We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.

Pay Grade:  CL 22  


Salary Range:  $1,734.00 - $1,918.00 Bi-Weekly


This is a bargaining unit position initially restricted to current civil service employees represented by the Nova Scotia Government Employees Union (NSGEU).
