About Our Opportunity


The Manager of Operations Support plays a leadership role in the financial management of the Court Services’ Division through the development of short and long-term operating budgets, and the provision of competent financial advice to various internal stakeholders in all courthouses throughout the Province. In this role, you will provide advice and direction in the development of financial operating plans for the division. You will ensure expenditure control by providing monthly budget reports and developing/overseeing accounting and compliance processes in the field offices. You will also manage the compilation of divisional financial statistics.

Primary Accountabilities


  • ensure that staff are fully trained in accounting procedures related to court activities
  • oversee the development and delivery of training courses
  • ensure that administrative, accounting, and operational manuals are kept up to date
  • responsible for budget management and approval of expenditures ensuring that adequate funding is available on an annual basis for human resources, information technology, facilities and equipment.
  • ensure that financial and operational audits are carried out on a regular basis and implement audit recommendations made by internal or external auditors.

Qualifications and Experience


To be considered for this opportunity, you have a University Degree in a related field (such as Commerce or Business), a Professional Accounting Designation (CPA) and several years of progressive leadership experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.


You possess knowledge of government or a large corporate organizations’ financial operation including accounting and budgeting. You have a demonstrated ability to solve problems, analyze data, develop, and compare alternate resolutions with the ability to act independently while recognizing overall corporate goals and objectives. 


You are an effective communicator both verbally and in writing which will enable you to build strong relationships with senior managers, middle managers, and field staff located at thirteen Justice Centres around the Province. You have demonstrated leadership skills which will help to ensure compliance with accounting procedures.


You must have demonstrated knowledge of SAP, SAS, Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook and Excel.


Experience working with JEIN, Civil Index, EMMA and Court based accounting systems would be considered an asset.

Pay Grade:  EC 10 

Salary Range:  $2,858.01 - $3,572.52 Bi-Weekly
