About Our Opportunity

 

The Print Services Specialist reports directly to the Manager of Client Services. The Print Services Specialist ensures the effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, testing and of the print services vendor hardware and software.

Primary Accountabilities

 

  • Project & Operational Services - Lead Print Projects during initial implementation period and into steady state. Ensures replacement and upgrades of print devices as new print services contracts are rolled out.
  • Vendor Support: Ensure that vendor hardware and software issues are addressed in a timely manner. Print Services Specialist, in conjunction with the Manager of Client Services, is the prime contact with vendor support.
  • Leads Technical Initiatives: Manages and leads other small printer-related projects and initiatives to ensure they are coordinated and planned with minimal client impacts. Acts as the core Technical IT contact for numerous Clinical projects in terms of printing.
  • Tier 3 Support: A technical advisor to desktop technicians.  Assists with the triaging and diagnosing of complex technical issues related to printing, and print accounting software and processes.
  • Access and Print Accounting: Responsible for managing access control for client printing and supporting NSHA billing process. Oversees upgrades to the print accounting software and backend services.
  • Validation testing: Work with Print Services Architect to support implementation and testing of new device models or applications.
  • Escalation Contact: Senior point of contact for print service escalations.

Other Responsibilities Include

 

  • Collaborate with and support the operations team with various tasks & project work.
  • Work with end users, vendors, and other support organizations to provide solutions meeting business needs.
  • Monitor service availability and provide root cause analysis for reoccurring outages.
  • Adhere to change management process.
  • Strong communication between the IT Operations team, business teams and other IT entities.
  • Support continuous improvement of service delivery.
  • Create process documentation.
  • Ensure clients are updated on progress/status of problem resolution and/or service request fulfillment
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm and support the implementation and administration of ITIL processes as well as other standardization initiatives to ensure the standardization objectives are achieved.

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or graduation from a recognized Information Technology or Information Management program.

 

The ideal candidate will have the following skills, training and work experience:

 

  • 3+ years’ experience working hands on in a technology infrastructure role.
  • 3+ years’ experience installing, configuring, testing and troubleshooting printers and MFPs
    • Generating print files
    • Configuring and supporting print servers and queues
    • Executing test plans
  • 2+ years of experience with scripting languages (PCL 5/6, PS)
  • Strong understanding of various Print Protocols (TCP/IP, LPR, LPD etc.)
  • Strong understanding of Windows Group Policy administration
  • Familiar with LDAP, SMTP and SNTP network protocols
  • Knowledge of Health care client operations as it relates to print services
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Tools Suite (Active Directory Services, DNS, DHCP, SCCM, Intune)
  • Understanding of networking routing and switching
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and time management skills.
  • Well organized with great attention to details
  • Ability to work within a larger team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Has strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style based on the audience.
  • Provide on-call support as required to ensure appropriate application availability in accordance with predefined on call schedules and processes.
  • Good understanding of ITIL framework
  • May perform other related duties as assigned.

Pay Grade:  PR 14  

Salary Range:  $2,476.14 - $3,015.17 Bi-Weekly
