About Our Opportunity

 

As the Project Coordinator you are responsible for the coordination/administration of programs/project processes and/or activities that require innovative approaches, that have an impact on multiple functions and/or overall business results within the division or department. Duties may include promotion, interpretation of a variety of programs, assessment, monitoring, promoting, and/or provision of information related to project management.

 

Primary Accountabilities

 

  • Delivers required outcomes by working within an established project management plan
  • Assists senior colleague(s) manage procurement activities
  • Performs prescribed contract management activities
  • Coordinates and prepares documentation, and reports for approval
  • Produces accurate reports for others
  • Reviews project documentation to ensure all deliverables required are present, complete, and archived appropriately
  • Assists managers with day-to-day budgeting requests
  • Coordinates asset management and manages related databases

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

As the successful applicant, you will have a post-secondary degree in a related field with several years of related experience.  An acceptable equivalency of education, training and experience may also be considered.

 

You will possess the following:

 

  • Ability to use sound judgement and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge and experience in project management, procurement, and budgeting
  • The capacity to manage various tasks while maintaining task deadlines and multiple competing priorities
  • Strong organizational, analytical thinking, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience completing and compiling research findings, conducting business analysis and preparing business cases, and/or formal report writing (including a strong working knowledge of Excel, word, and other Microsoft products)
  • Experience in drafting communication messaging
  • Lean Six Sigma training is considered an asset

 

Additionally, you are an individual looking to actively contribute to an innovative environment, are a self-motivated individual who wants to learn, and able to produce results when working independently or within a team environment.

 

Leadership competencies required at this level of work are: Analytical Thinking, Adaptability and, Flexibility, Attention to Detail, Outcome Focus, Effective Interactive Communication, Teamwork and Collaboration, and Intercultural and Diversity Proficiency.

 

We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.

Working Conditions

 

  • Normal work week is 35 hours/week, 7 hours/day
  • May be required to work overtime on occasion
  • Works in a comfortable office environment with the opportunity to move about
  • May sit for long periods of time and occasionally moves/lifts light objects such as office supplies, equipment, and boxes of files
  • Regularly needs to read/interpret written materials and interpret data requiring a high degree of concentration and accuracy
  • Must be able to work calmly and effectively under stress due to frequent demands to meet numerous deadlines and client requests

Pay Grade:  EC 07 

Salary Range:  $2,003.20 - $2,498.10 Bi-Weekly
