The Real Property Division of the Department of Public Works provides a variety of real estate services to the various provincial government Departments, Boards, Agencies, and Commissions. We also manage procurement and allocation of all office, warehouse and other spaces.


About Our Opportunity


As the Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for all aspects of the supply chain as it relates to various goods and services required for government office and school renovation/construction projects across the province. You will lead consultations with, and facilitate, high-level collaborations among external partners across government and work directly with the Department of Education (DOE) and staff from the various Regional School Boards to ensure the delivery of the furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) requirements for the educational programs mandated by the DOE.


Primary Accountabilities


  • Provide excellent customer service to project stakeholders and clients by establishing a preliminary budget, developing product specifications, setting timelines for the delivery of goods, and working with suppliers to ensure the necessary products are provided on-time and on-budget.
  • Prepare purchase orders, document receipt of goods and approve invoices for payment using the procurement and accounting modules of SAP and applications such as Ariba.
  • Prepare and award tenders for removal of surplus government assets from locations across the Province.  Monitor service provider’s performances on a regular basis and ensure safe workplace practices at each move site are being adhered to.
  • Responsible for adhering to government and departmental inventory control policies and procedures, including implementation, communication and enforcement to departments, agencies, boards and commissions.
  • Organize and/or participate in highly collaborative project meetings to ensure all project tasks and deadlines are met.


Qualifications and Experience


As the ideal candidate, you will require a post-secondary certificate or diploma specialized in Business or Supply Chain. A minimum of 7 years of progressive supply chain experience is required, preferably with a well-rounded knowledge of scheduling, planning, procurement, inventory, and disposal functions. A professional with several years of experience in supply chain management including scheduling, planning, procurement, inventory, and disposal functions will be considered.


A professional designation/certificate in the supply chain field such as SCMP, SMT, P.Log, CCLP or PSPP is considered an asset.


Frequent travel across the province is a requirement of this position; as such, a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.

  • Experience in managing inventory systems
  • The ability to process a large volume of work under tight deadlines

You are an excellent relationship builder, self-starter, and are effective working in a team-orientated environment, with the ability to undertake complex assignments without supervision.

Working Conditions


This role is primarily based in a comfortable office environment, and you may be working at your computer for extended periods of time. You may be required to travel within the province to visit sites or regional offices.

Pay Grade:  TE 23  

Salary Range:  $2,132.05 - $2,515.87 Bi-Weekly
