About Our Opportunity

 

The Inclusive Education Project Lead provides executive leadership in the department on issues related to inclusive education and sets the strategic direction of inclusive education projects and priorities for EECD and the Regional Centres for Education (RCEs)/Conseil scolaire acadien provincial (CSAP) which has significant impact on the broader public sector and the public education system.

 

The project lead is responsible for the identification, design, planning, implementation, integration, and evaluation of multi-function, cross-departmental projects related to inclusive education. This position coordinates business activities (often carried out by others) that establish how and when the department will deliver programs and services. 
 

Primary Accountabilities

 

  • Leads, directs, and guides the development and implementation of major, complex, multi-functional projects and initiatives on behalf of the department
  • Ensures business plan activities to advance inclusive education initiatives and projects are implemented. 
  • Develops accountability mechanisms, reporting and programs related to inclusive education
  • Works with Regional Education Centers/CSAP, senior executives within EECD and academic experts to ensure the appropriate implementation of the Inclusive Education Policy
  • Performs a strategic advisory/principal level consulting role to senior executives 
     

Qualifications and Experience

 

The ideal candidate has experience in a senior level position where they were responsible for moving forward significant pieces of work for their organization. Candidates should have project management skills with an action-oriented approach. Candidates should demonstrate strong cultural competencies and commitment to principles of diversity, equity and inclusion. Experience in the education sector is an asset but not required.

Pay Grade:  EC 14 

Salary Range:  $4,184.42 - $5,230.52 Bi-Weekly
