About Our Opportunity

 

The Project Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, administration, interpretation, investigation, and provision of information of various government programs throughout the province. Responsibilities include assisting in the delivery and administration of new and existing programs, assisting in the investigation and resolution of project issues. The Building Infrastructure Program Admin Officer manages distribution and ensures prompt execution of project documents within the portfolio of projects.

Primary Accountabilities

 

In this role you assist Project staff in improving processes to support the development of departmental processes and policies required to implement a document and project management system. Examples would be the development and maintenance of digital contacts, consultant change orders, change directive, addenda, and invoicing and miscellaneous project related processes geared towards effective project delivery and implementation. You also manage priorities and work effectively to reach expected delivery goals. The PAO ensures efficient workflow of project-critical and other urgent documentation. The PAO reviews and flags inconsistencies and errors for correction on submittals for compliance with applicable requirements in advance of review by the Management team.

 

You solve problems and issues that arise for internal and external users related to project processes. You also add new projects and other items (capabilities or level of authorization) to user accounts as required. You provide support, guidance, and process training to internal and external stakeholders/users working with the system. You manage day-to-day relationships with clients, contract service providers, and team. You also advise and mediate complaints.

 

Work must be completed promptly, accurately, and with constant attention to detail.

Qualifications and Experience

 

As the successful candidate you have a bachelors degree in a related field as well as one year of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience may be acceptable. Familiarity with running SAP reports will be considered an asset.

 

You have excellent organizational skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and maintain a high degree of professionalism. You will possess excellent typing skills and demonstrated proficiency in a variety of computer applications, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Outlook.

 

Effective interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational skills, combined with the ability to prioritize work and adhere to deadlines and coordinate a variety of different functions simultaneously, are necessary prerequisites of this position. Sound judgement, with a high degree of personal initiative, tact and discretion are also required in this role.

 

Knowledge and experience working in the eBuilder platform is considered a strong asset.

 

Knowledge and experience working in a building design and construction work environment, including familiarity with tendering, contract administration, project scheduling, and project management terminology is considered an asset.

 

We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.

Equivalency

 

An equivalent combination of training, education and experience will be considered. Equivalencies include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Completion of a 2-year diploma and 3 years of related experience

Pay Grade:  PR 06 - PR 10  

Salary Range:  $1,924.95 - $2,760.42 Bi-Weekly
