About Our Opportunity

Working collaboratively across the Department of Cyber Security and Digital Solutions, the Senior Digital Policy Analyst will develop policies and other policy responses to support the implementation of key action plans and other digital transformation initiatives. This role will be critical to important department initiatives in cyber security and digital transformation, and the Senior Digital Policy Analyst will see the impact of their work on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Digital Policy Analyst, your primary accountabilities will include:

 

  • Assessing and evaluating current and future policy approaches to ensure alignment with key action plans, digital frameworks, and digital approaches to policy development.

 

  • Researching and designing frameworks, supporting audit functions, funding models, evaluation metrics and reporting mechanisms.

 

 

  • Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in cyber security and digital policy.

 

  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and interested parties.

 

  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of implemented cyber and digital policies and strategies.

 

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree plus six (6) years related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience may be acceptable.

 

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in the following:

 

  • Developing and evaluating policy options and preparing related background material.

 

  • Digital skills like design thinking, designing around user needs, collaboration through productivity applications, and a digital mindset.

 

  • Organizing, tracking, and monitoring progress to deliver work on fixed timelines.

 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

 

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
