About the Opportunity


As the Technical Architect (Computer Services Officer 4) for the End User Compute (EUC) team within Mission IT and Core Internal Services you will:

  • Proactively identify, categorize, and prioritize remediation of publicly known cyber security vulnerabilities that impact EUC service offerings for all healthcare and government client devices in consultation with Cyber Security and Risk Management (CSRM) teams, EUC teams and using resources such as vulnerability scans, security dashboards, Canadian Centre for Cybersecurity, vendor advisories, etc.
  • Coordinate vulnerability remediation work within the EUC team before they are utilized for a cybersecurity attack
  • Connect with CSRM colleagues to:
    • Understand the cybersecurity frameworks that are being adopted or recommended
    • Act as the main point of contact for CSRM concerning EUC service risks
    • Be the technical lead for cyber incidents requiring a EUC response, tracking and reporting resolution to CSRM and EUC management
  • Lead KRI reporting for EUC services:
    • Interpret risk reports for EUC team
    • Advise on strategies to reduce cybersecurity risk in the EUC environment
    • Develop remediation action plans with team for known issues including prioritization and sequencing
    • Delegate remediation, follow up on assigned work, track and report progress to EUC management
    • Maintain issue and remediation logs
  • Oversee the effectiveness of our EUC patching programs and security solutions and processes
  • Recommend security baselines and get approval to implement

Qualifications and Experience


You have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science plus a minimum of five (5) years of experience; or, graduation from a recognized Information Technology program plus five (5) years and six (6) months of experience (or an equivalent combination of training and experience).


Related experience must include a well-established history of supporting enterprise environments using configuration management systems such as Microsoft Intune, JAMF, or Blackberry UEM, AD/AAD and a mandatory knowledge of vulnerability management frameworks and vulnerability remediation processes in an enterprise environment. It is highly desired that candidates have one or more current cybersecurity certifications.


 Knowledge of project management methodology, ITIL processes are assets.


Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills are required, as well as demonstrated ability to interact effectively with 3rd party service implementors, clients, staff, vendors, peers, and all levels of management.  Ideally, you are flexible and adaptable to changing business priorities.

Pay Grade:  PR 17  

Salary Range:  $3,001.65 - $3,525.41 Bi-Weekly
