About Our Opportunity

As a Technical Specialist for Power Platform and Dynamics 365, you will be responsible for supporting the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of business solutions utilizing Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365. This position is well-suited for professionals seeking to advance their expertise in low-code/no-code development, automation, and enterprise application support as implemented throughout the Government of Nova Scotia and the health sector.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Assist in building and maintaining Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven) to extend Dynamics 365 functionality. 
  • Support the automation of business processes using Power Automate. 
  • Help configure entities, forms, views, workflows, and security roles within Dynamics 365. 
  • Participate in environment provisioning, governance, and solution deployment activities. 
  • Contribute to data modeling and reporting using Dataverse and Power BI (as needed). 
  • Designs, implements, and supports business process, workflow automations and procedures utilizing SharePoint, Power Automate, Power Apps, and other Microsoft 365 technology platforms.
  • Participate in quarterly reviews and updates of the Power Platform Center of Excellence (COE) starter kit. 
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions. 
  • Provide technical support and documentation for users and team members. 
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards and data security best practices. 
  • Delivers in the agile and internet-era ways of working.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have a bachelor’s degree in computer science plus a minimum of three (3) years’ experience or graduation from a recognized Information Technology or Information Management program plus three (3) years and six (6) months of experience (or the equivalent combination of training and experience). 
 

  • Highly desirable Microsoft certifications such as: 
    • PL-400: Power Platform Developer OR
    • PL-200: Power Platform Functional Consultant OR
    • MB-300: Dynamics 365 Core Finance and Operations OR related Dynamics 365 certifications
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 applications (e.g., Customer Engagement, Finance & Operations). 
  • Knowledge of Dataverse, Azure services, and integration patterns for Power Platform and Dynamics 365
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, solution lifecycle management, and environment strategies for Power Platform. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Demonstrated strong problem solving, analytical skills, and strategic thinking.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including stakeholder management, training, presentation, and public speaking.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in the face of changing organisational priorities and ambiguous environments.
  • Ability to research and quickly assimilate relevant new technologies, concepts, architectures, and features is essential.

Pay Grade:  PR 14  

Salary Range:  $2,653.85 - $3,231.58 Bi-Weekly
