About Our Opportunity

 

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Regional Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting operations and logistics for programs, projects and events of the Regional Offices and the Division.  The Regional Program Coordinator is also responsible for key components of the grant management system, file management, regional office operating budget, inventory, and forecasting. The Coordinator will generate reports and conduct research that will inform the work of the Regional Manager and team, Division and Department.  The Coordinator is a primary point of contact for program specific inquiries and serves as back up to the Regional Manager and other program staff.  The Coordinator will also carry out OHS inspections, and the administrative tasks and general organization of the Regional Office and as requested by Supervisor for the Division and Department. 

Qualifications and Experience


Successful completion of a one (1) year business/financial administration program and three (3) years of comparable experience.  An acceptable equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.


The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience within a client-oriented environment
  • Have proficiency and high level of accuracy in data entry
  • Sound knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing
  • Experience using SAP financial systems or similar. Experience using the SAP Grants Management System would be considered an asset
  • The ability to meet stringent deadlines
  • Demonstrated flexibility in responding to unforeseen work demands by re-prioritizing and adjusting work plans
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work positively, effectively and solution-focused with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • An ability to communicate with tact and discretion in a clear, concise manner
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Results-oriented with a high level of initiative and motivation
  • You have strong multi-tasking and organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.

We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.

Working Conditions


The office location (either Antigonish or Truro) will depend on the location of the successful candidate and departmental approvals.

Additional Information


This is a temp employment opportunity with an end date six (6) months from the start date. The appointment status term is dependent on the start date of the successful candidate.

Pay Grade:  CL 18  

Salary Range:  $1,684.00 - $1,884.17 Bi-Weekly
