About Our Opportunity
Working in a fast-paced customer service environment, you support various customer service activities related to the Registry of Motor Vehicles counter transactions, and other Business Programs.
Primary Accountabilities
Duties may include assistance with cash balancing/reconciling, triaging customers, information desk coverage, administering knowledge tests, opening and sorting mail, scanning documents, and data entry for a variety of business programs. In addition, you may be responsible for cash handling and the issuance and custody of serial numbered and non-serial numbered inventory in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this summer student opportunity, you are currently a full-time University or Community College student entering or returning to study in September 2023. Customer service industry experience is required. In addition, you demonstrate:
- Strong organizational skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Problem solving skills;
- Team player skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment;
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment;
- Strong keyboarding and computer skills (Word, Internet and Email).
Data entry skills, cash handling experience and bilingual ability in French and English would be viewed as assets. Proof of educational enrollment may be required.
Equivalency
An equivalent combination of training, education and experience will be considered. Applicants relying on education and experience equivalencies must demonstrate such equivalencies in their application.
Additional Information
This competition is to fill a Summer Student vacancy in Yarmouth. The successful candidates must be available to work during all hours of operation.
Pay Grade: HOURLY
Salary Range: $17.25 - $28.12 Hourly
