The Department is thinking differently about how to plan, fund, legislate and monitor to improve access and service delivery. To do this, we need leaders at all levels of the organization who embrace a challenge and believe in their ability to make a difference.

You will also work collaboratively across the Department, government and the health system on key initiatives to advance health system and services, strategy health system planning, health system reporting, performance monitoring and accountability.

Primary accountabilities include:

  • Building of relationship and establishment of trust between the Department and stakeholders, ensuring a collaborative, transparent approach to solution development.
  • Design, develop and implement accountability frameworks across physician remuneration models through collaborative design approaches.
  • Leading a small team, oversee the operational management of alternate funding portfolios including Alternate Payment Plan (Specialty Services), Longitudinal Family Medicine (LFM), First Nations Primary Care delivery and sessional funding arrangements.
