The Building Infrastructure Design and Construction (BIDC) Division of Public Works is responsible for the design and construction of new and renovated building infrastructure ranging in value from $1,000,000 up to $500,000,000 and encompassing building types such as Schools, Courthouses, Healthcare Facilities, Museums and Art Galleries, Provincial Buildings, Highway operations buildings and more. About Our Opportunity
The Project Management Information System (PMIS) Coordinator is responsible to manage and support the PMIS to enable project teams to deliver capital projects efficiently. Responsibilities include implementing and maintaining the system, training and supporting users, keeping project data accurate, and customizing workflows and reports to meet organizational needs.
Primary Accountabilities
In this role you ensure that the PMIS is effectively configured, maintained, and aligned with the organization's project management needs. This includes building and managing user accounts, roles, and permissions, as well as configuring project templates, workflows, forms, and reports to meet organizational standards. The role also serves as the primary point of contact for user support—troubleshooting issues, providing training and documentation, and helping onboard new team members. A critical part of the role involves maintaining the accuracy and integrity of project data, including budgets, contracts, change orders, and schedules, while also generating dashboards and reports to support management oversight. Additionally, the PMIS Coordinator focuses on continuous process improvement by customizing workflows, optimizing system usage for cost control and scheduling, and supporting integrations with other business systems when practical.
Qualifications and Experience
As the successful candidate you have a bachelors degree in a related field as well as one year of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience may be acceptable. Familiarity with running SAP reports will be considered an asset.
You have excellent organizational skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and maintain a high degree of professionalism. You will possess excellent typing skills and demonstrated proficiency in a variety of computer applications, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Outlook.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational skills, combined with the ability to prioritize work and adhere to deadlines and coordinate a variety of different functions simultaneously, are necessary prerequisites of this position. Sound judgement, with a high degree of personal initiative, tact and discretion are also required in this role.
We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.
Equivalency
An equivalent combination of training, education and experience will be considered. Equivalencies include, but are not limited to:
- Completion of a 2-year diploma and 3 years of related experience

Salary Range: $1,924.95 - $2,760.42 Bi-Weekly
