Primary Accountabilities

 

  • Develop and communicate the Product Vision & Roadmap, including Agile Team Planning, Business Partner Connects and Minister Briefings
  • Define and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with program objectives
  • Organize releases, epics, initiatives and user stories in Jira
  • Create and refine Minimum Viable Service/Product (MVS/MVP) definitions and product measurements/KPIs
  • Validate features meet the acceptance criteria and are ready for release 
  • Ensure that the non-functional requirements are addressed 
  • Coordinate production deployments 
  • Supports go-to-market activities, OCM efforts and communications 
  • Drive Continuous Improvement
  • Manage sustainment and support plans for products in varying stages of development
  • Utilize user research to inform feature development 
  • Grow user domain knowledge working closely with Service Leads (Subject Matter Experts)
  • Manage product team members, promoting a positive and inclusive environment
  • Collaborate with other RMV Mod Workstream Teams and wider CSDS counterparts to ensure features are executed and cross team dependencies are well understood
  • In collaboration with the Management team, propose new product ideas and strategies and provide analysis to support trade-off decisions between scope and schedule 
  • As needed, facilitate product team agile ceremonies (scrums, sprint planning, retrospectives) 

Qualifications and Experience


Must-Haves: 

  • A minimum of undergraduate university level education in a relevant field or demonstrated equivalent work experience
  • Significant experience working in relevant fields (eg, Project, Product or Program Management)
  • Demonstrate analytical and strategic mindset that can translate to building new digital services and technologies
  • Proven success delivering in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams to work towards a common goal
  • Excellent written, oral communications and presentation skills, with a proven track record of effective interpersonal interactions.
  • Strong organizational and facilitation skills, capable of working independently and as part of a team. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook (or equivalent).
  • Precise attention to detail. 


Nice-to-Haves: 

  • Prior experience managing public resources and familiarity with government practices. Registry of Motor Vehicles experience would be considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting government transformation initiatives, showcasing an ability to navigate and contribute to significant changes. 
  • People management experience, especially leading teams in a unionized environment, is considered an asset.
  • Delivery and/or project management experience.
  • UI, UX and design experience.


We will assess the above qualifications and experience using tools such as assessments, presentations, interviews, reference checks, etc.

Equivalency


An equivalent combination of training and experience may also be considered. Applicants relying on education and experience equivalencies must demonstrate such equivalencies in the application.

Working Conditions

 

  • Normal work week is 35 hours/week, 7 hours/day
  • May be required to work overtime on occasion

Pay Grade:  EC 12 

Salary Range:  $3,760.89 - $4,701.11 Bi-Weekly
