Primary Accountabilities

Operational and service excellence deployment strategy and support by partnering with business areas, across government, in identifying business pains converting the pains to business improvement projects, implementing the projects following the most appropriate methodology, aligning the business performance with the strategic mandate, building the culture of continuous improvement and operationalizing business process improvements principles such as Lean Six Sigma.
- Promoting, strengthening, and expanding the operational and service excellence deployment with innovative approaches.
- Project leadership by managing complex strategic and corporate business process improvement initiatives across and within departments, similarly within the Government Agencies, including gaining buy-in, establishing project approvals, managing stakeholders and subject matter expert teams.
- Training and capability building by identifying gaps, developing and offering trainings, including train the trainers, for key stakeholders such as employees, belts, business process owners, and executive sponsors. Coach, mentor, and evaluate belts for certifications.
- Developing and taking the role of Departmental alignment champion by leading and managing the Department’s portfolio of projects, recommending to the Executives and Senior Leadership Teams on operational and service excellence deployment goals and priorities.
- Human, program, and financial accountabilities by coordinating the realization and reporting of the deployment benefits to manage and report performance of the operational and service excellence deployment benefits at both business and operational levels.
- Any other responsibilities and accountabilities, as assigned, within our growing deployment full of exciting and challenging opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree education in business or technical areas. Post graduate degree is an asset.
- Over 8 years experience leading corporate deployments and complex cross business process improvement initiatives following proven methodologies such as DMAIC, Kaizen, Agile and others with significant and verifiable business benefits.
- Certified LSS MBB by a reputable organization. Over 5 years of experience after LSS BB certification and ready for MBB certification may be considered. Other professional designations are assets.
- Business process improvement experience within public sector. Clear insights and approach to business process improvements within public sector may be considered.
- Training and experience in culture change leadership, training development, facilitation, and people management, development, coaching, and mentoring a team of high-performing professionals.

Pay Grade: EC 12
Salary Range: $3,929.22 - $4,911.52 Bi-Weekly
