About Our Opportunity

 
As the Visual Practitioner, Operational and Service Excellence (O&SE,) you will join a highly motivated team that leads the vibrant O&SE corporate deployment. The deployment offers various services, programs, and trainings in partnership with business areas across government to support them through their business process improvement journeys. You will be responsible for creating innovative and appealing visuals that include diagrams, illustrations, graphic designs, storyboards, images, multimedia, and others to capture and communicate information and ideas with the aim of stimulating creative thinking during the business improvements. 
 
 
This two-year internship position offers challenging and satisfying growth opportunities while working within a high-performing team. You will be supported and trained through your development.

Primary Accountabilities

 
 
•    Visual scribing and graphic recording during various O&SE deployment offerings and functions. 
•    Creating innovative and appealing visuals for communication and promotional purposes. 
•    Designing visually attractive materials for presentation during the deployment offerings such as trainings and programs.
•    Improving the presentation of contents on the O&SE SharePoint platform by using visuals that grab the attention of the visitors.
•    Supporting the business process improvement experts in partnership with business areas. 
•    Developing visuals that capture and present the O&SE deployment dashboard and the partner’s business performance data during their business improvements.  
•    Developing and advancing your visual skills to include the interactive-visual genre.
•    Any others as assigned for the purposes of the deployment operations.

Qualifications and Experience

 
To be considered for this internship position, you must be a recent graduate from a college, diploma or a university bachelor’s degree in a related field within the last 3 years. 
 
 
In addition, you have strong visual intelligence with an interest in building your career as a visual practitioner. You are an excellent graphic designer, artist, and visual storyteller.  You continuously explore better ways of performance in business operations and providing services. You work well either independently or in a high performing team. You flourish in working within a fun environment that celebrates inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility.
 
 
Key Requirements:
 
 
•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field. 
•    Exceptional visual intelligence.
•    Demonstrated work in creating innovative and appealing visuals that include diagrams, illustrations, storyboards, images, multimedia, and others.
•   Experience as a Graphic Designer, illustrator, and/or artist.
•   Multitasking skills in working on multiple projects, strong time management, and prioritizing to meet goals and objectives. 
•    Working experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant software.   
•  Demonstrated interest and passion for developing yourself as an excelling Visual Practitioner.

 
Asset: 
 
  • Graduate degree in Graphic Design would be considered an asset 
 
We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, previous work, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.

This is an internship employment opportunity with an anticipated end date of April 13, 2028. As indicated above, to be considered for this internship opportunity, you must be a recent graduate from a college, diploma or a university bachelor's degree (or other) within the last 3 years.

Pay Grade:  PR 06  

Salary Range:  $2,200.68 - $2,288.52 Bi-Weekly
