As part of SNS, and the Integrated Innovation and Strategy Operations unit, the Corporate Records Management Team provides a full range of advisory, consulting and records centre services for effective records management throughout government.
About Our Opportunity
We are seeking two organized, detail-oriented, and service-minded individuals to join our team as Records Centre Clerks. This role supports the daily operation of the Sydney Records Centre and plays an important part in ensuring government records are received, stored, retrieved, tracked, and disposed of accurately and securely. These positions are half time equivalents sharing the same job.
Primary Accountabilities
As a Records Centre Clerk, you will:
- Receive, verify, and process records transfers.
- Retrieve, issue, receive, and re-file records in accordance with established procedures.
- Support records disposition, including documentation, transfer, and destruction activities.
- Provide client support on records transfers, documentation, and retrieval.
- Maintain accurate data entry, control records, and tracking information.
- Support the safe and efficient operation of the Records Centre.
- Liaise with clients and service providers as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this opportunity, you have many of the following skills and experience:
- High school completion or equivalent; related training is an asset.
- Several years of related clerical, administrative, records, or warehouse experience.
- Experience with data entry and computerized records systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply procedures and documentation standards.
- Strong communication skills and a client-service approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Are able to regularly work with boxes weighing up to 20kg.
Experience in a records centre, archives, warehouse, or government environment is an asset.
We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.

Pay Grade: CL 13
Salary Range: $823.82 - $896.73 Bi-Weekly
